New Shopping iPhone app finds you deals on DBS/POSB cards

If you’ve been browsing through the Top Apps in Singapore’s regional iTunes App Store, you might have caught a glimpse of this app icon:

It’s DBS latest lifestyle app — DBS Shopper!

I’ve been observing its position on the App Store for a while now, this app seems to be doing rather well since its launch in late October — maintained no.1 Lifestyle app for about 3 weeks and only just fallen off the Top 25 Free chart couple weeks ago.

Some similarities in functionality bear between Shopper and sister app, DBS Indulge Singapore — also developed by Singapore-based Cellcity Ltd — such as GPS-enabled search, one-click calling, in-app map views and driving directions, plus the ability to search in Cam View mode, using the augmented reality technology. Both apps also feature an exclusive mobile Coupon section as added value to users.

On top of all that, the Shopper app has a new Favourites feature, more sharing options (including Facebook and Twitter), plus a nice interface that’s just for shoppers!

My take: Definitely try it out if you are a shopper!
