SMRT would also like to take the opportunity to advise passengers who are harassed or assaulted during their train journey to report the matter to the train officer immediately by activating the emergency communication button, located at the side of the train door. This will allow the passenger to communicate with the train officer, who will activate our Operations Control centre, which will then direct staff from the nearest station to render assistance.
